Another win!
HB37 which restricts local authorities from labeling businesses essential or nonessential has become law this week.
In 2020 alone, over 1200 Tennessee small businesses had to shut down permanently due to the COVID-19 shutdowns.
With large companies like Target, Walmart, and Amazon allowed to continue to operate in our state, we believe shutdowns like what we saw in 2020 were effectively a wealth transfer from small local businesses to large multinational corporations.
We believe HB37 is a step in the right direction and will help protect Tennessee business owners from government overreach.
